Pre-Formation Investigations and Formation of WTF Investigations
It started with a discussion on "Ghost Hunter" shows. The skeptics laughing at how unrealistic they were, and the non-skeptics being impressed with the tools and the results. Jeff and his wife are avid photographers and more believers than not, they have taken pictures of battlefields and graveyards, and have pictures of orbs etc. They talked John into joining them at Edinburgh Manor for an overnight investigation, which led to a second involving Aric and Ron.
We were woefully unprepared to investigate, bringing only a couple of Digital recorders and placing them around this massive building and moving them at regular intervals through the night. We had no IR cameras (bad cell phone cameras are not good enough) or EMF readers...well, what was going to happen?
Then things did begin to happen..
We were sitting alone in the foyer and heard footsteps on the stairs, Childrens voices (followed by a giggle that was just scary), audio recordings of things being thrown when the house was empty. A chair moving, and finally even Jeff vacated for a while because of activity.
So when all was said and done, we had stories, some sketchy audio files, and a poor camera video to show for our time and experiences. As skeptical as some of us are things were felt and heard that we just cannot explain without doing logic contortions, with logical explanations as unbelievable as paranormal ones.
Intrigued, (and yes we had fun), we set out acquiring equipment, an idea of how we wanted to proceed, and locations we would like to investigate. Now, these are going to change over time depending on results and feedback. We are at the beginning where every troubleshooter will tell you that you shotgun the problem and see what comes back.
